Description
Combining the sharp acidity of lemons and the mellow sweetness of honey nectar, this kombucha mocktail’s silky and balanced profile is a true treat for the senses. Add a few berries on top for more nutrients and flavor.
Ingredients
- Juice of 2 lemons, freshly squeezed
- 2 tablespoons raw clover honey
- 2 handfuls of ice cubes
- 1 cup black tea kombucha
- A handful of berries of your choice
Instructions
- Put equal amounts of lemon juice in two serving glasses.
- Put a tablespoon of honey in each serving glass. Mix until combined.
- Add equal parts of kombucha to each glass.
- Add ice to each glass.
- Stir again, then garnish each cup with berries.
- Enjoy!
Notes
The base of the raw kombucha flavor can be black, oolong, white, or green tea. Consider using flavored kombucha for a unique recipe.
Fresh fruits like blueberries, raspberries, pomegranate seeds, and cherries are great garnishes. You can also add ginger and make this a lemon ginger kombucha mocktail.
No honey? No problem. You can use agave nectar, maple syrup, or molasses as substitutes.
Want to add a slight alcoholic kick? Add a jigger full of bourbon or gin in each cup and mix thoroughly. Alternatively, you can use this as the base of a mojito by adding mint leaves, lime juice, and some white rum.
