  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 2 Servings 1x

Description

Combining the sharp acidity of lemons and the mellow sweetness of honey nectar, this kombucha mocktail’s silky and balanced profile is a true treat for the senses. Add a few berries on top for more nutrients and flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Juice of 2 lemons, freshly squeezed
  • 2 tablespoons raw clover honey
  • 2 handfuls of ice cubes
  • 1 cup black tea kombucha
  • A handful of berries of your choice

Instructions

  1. Put equal amounts of lemon juice in two serving glasses.
  2. Put a tablespoon of honey in each serving glass. Mix until combined.
  3. Add equal parts of kombucha to each glass.
  4. Add ice to each glass.
  5. Stir again, then garnish each cup with berries.
  6. Enjoy!

Notes

The base of the raw kombucha flavor can be black, oolong, white, or green tea. Consider using flavored kombucha for a unique recipe.

Fresh fruits like blueberries, raspberries, pomegranate seeds, and cherries are great garnishes. You can also add ginger and make this a lemon ginger kombucha mocktail.

No honey? No problem. You can use agave nectar, maple syrup, or molasses as substitutes.

Want to add a slight alcoholic kick? Add a jigger full of bourbon or gin in each cup and mix thoroughly. Alternatively, you can use this as the base of a mojito by adding mint leaves, lime juice, and some white rum.
