Instructions

  1. Bring water to a boil in a small saucepan.
  2. Add the mixture of mint, lavender buds, and sugar into a bowl.
  3. Pour the water over the herbs and sugar.
  4. Stir the mixture until the sugar dissolves (1-2 minutes).
  5. Set it aside to cool.
  6. Strain the mixture while pouring the liquid into a 1-gallon jar.
  7. Add the oolong tea kombucha to the jar and mix well.
  8. Funnel the kombucha mix into bottles. Put a lid on them.
  9. Leave the bottles to ferment in a warm place for 2 days.
  10. Before consuming, put the drink in a fridge for 6 hours. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

If you only have fresh, organic lavender on hand, you’ll need to increase the measurement to 1 1/2 cups.

If you don’t have oolong tea kombucha, use unflavored kombucha with a green or black tea base.

Add a squeeze of fresh lemon, ginger, or lemongrass to this recipe to enhance its flavor profile. Alternatively, use ginger kombucha instead of unflavored oolong tea kombucha.
