Salted Grapefruit Kombucha Juice

  • Total Time: 7 minutes
  • Yield: 1 Serving 1x

Description

Sweet and tart, this mocktail is perfect for an afternoon of entertaining. Add a shot of vodka or tequila to turn it into a hard kombucha juice.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup freshly-squeezed pink grapefruit juice, chilled
  • 1/2 cup black tea kombucha, after the first or second ferment
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • Handful of ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine the grapefruit juice and kombucha in a glass.
  2. Add a pinch of sea salt.
  3. Stir to combine.
  4. Add ice to the serving glass if desired.
  5. Garnish with grapefruit slices, lime wheels, and rosemary (optional).
  6. Serve.

Notes

You can also make this recipe with white or green tea kombucha if that’s what you have brewing.

If you don’t have a juicer, slice your grapefruit in half and squeeze it over a mesh strainer until you have 1/2 cup.

You can also use store-bought grapefruit juice if you prefer. Look for juice with no added sweeteners or preservatives.
