Strawberry Banana Kombucha Smoothie

Description

Any kombucha works in this recipe—try it with white tea or green tea kombucha. You can even make this with flavored kombucha. Frozen fruits are recommended, but fresh fruit with a handful of ice cubes is fine too.


Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup kombucha
  • 3/4 cup strawberries
  • 1 frozen banana

Instructions

  1. Add the frozen strawberries to a high-speed blender. Pulse a few times until they start to break apart.
  2. Add the banana and kombucha to the blender.
  3. Blend on high until the mix is smooth and creamy.
  4. Add 1 or more of the add-ins suggested below (optional). Blend until combined.
  5. Pour into your serving glass.
  6. Garnish with fresh fruit if desired.

Notes

If you don’t have strawberries on hand, try raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, or peaches.

Add extra ice to your kombucha smoothie, pour it into a bowl, and garnish with fresh fruit, acai berries, or pomegranate seeds to make a smoothie bowl.

Add one of the following for extra flavor and health benefits: 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tbsp soaked chia seeds, 1 tbsp ground flax seeds, 1/4 cup almond milk for a thinner texture.
