Passionfruit Kombucha

  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 2 Servings 1x

Description

While you can use any variety, purple passionfruits tend to be sweeter than yellow ones. This fruit adds a unique flavor to a sweet and floral kombucha base.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 15 ounces of green tea kombucha
  • Pulp from 1 passionfruit

Instructions

  1. Pour equal amounts of organic green tea kombucha into two 8-ounce flip-top bottles.
  2. Gently scoop out the passionfruit pulp from the fruit. Include the seeds.
  3. Divide the passionfruit pulp among both glasses, stirring to combine with kombucha.
  4. Seal each glass tightly and leave at room temperature for 2 days.
  5. After two days, leave the bottles to chill in a refrigerator for at least 6 hours.
  6. Take the kombucha out of the fridge. Strain if desired.
  7. Garnish with optional fresh fruit, basil, lime, or mint leaves. Enjoy!

Notes

You can use white or black tea as alternative kombucha tea bases.

Add half a teaspoon of organic cane sugar in each bottle to enjoy a sweeter drink.

If you don’t have access to fresh fruit, use 1 tbsp of organic passion fruit juice or pulp in each bottle.
