Description

You’ll need a juicer to get the most nutrients from this kombucha juice. If you don’t have one, look for fresh cold-pressed juice at your local health store.

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1/2 cup black tea kombucha, after either the first or second fermentation
  • 4 medium carrots
  • 1 medium beet
  • 1 large green apple
  • 2 tbsp aloe vera juice
  • 23 ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a juicer, juice the carrots, beetroot, and apple.
  2. Pour the juice into a medium pitcher and add the kombucha. Stir to combine.
  3. Stir in the aloe juice and mix well.
  4. Add 2-3 ice cubes in each glass and serve.

Notes

To get the most vitamins from this kombucha juice, drink it immediately.

Double or triple the recipe to serve more people. If you’re serving a crowd, make the juice a few hours ahead. You can keep the juice for up to 8 hours in the fridge. Refrigerate the juice in a glass jar with a tight-fitting lid.

Black tea kombucha works best in this recipe since it has a bold flavor that tastes best with the juice. However, you could also use white or green tea-based kombucha.

Make sure to purchase unsweetened aloe juice. If possible, buy an organic brand. You can find aloe juice at your local health food store or on Amazon.

Add a half-inch of fresh ginger to your juicer first for a zingy addition to this kombucha juice. Or, add a pinch of turmeric along with the aloe juice. Turmeric is a great anti-inflammatory.

What Does Cleansing Carrot Beet Kombucha Taste Like?

Cleansing carrot beet kombucha is sweet and earthy. It’s fragrant and colorful with a bit of fizz. Carrots and beets make sweet juice, while the apple brings a bit of tartness. Aloe juice brings a bit of bitterness, but the small amount won’t cause the juice to be unpleasant. These flavors combine into a sweet, slightly tart kombucha juice.

Sarah first tried kombucha in 2015 and she was hooked. Her favorite flavor is ginger, but cranberry comes in a close second. She made her own for many years and loved experimenting with fruit flavors.
